This an explorational personal project I put together using scanned assets from MegaScans and assembled in UE5. The purpose of this exercise was to learn new features of UE5 and gain an understanding of the whole environment workflow. Besides, creating lumen lighting and foggy environment effect are fun and challenging. I also used this as an opportunity to learn the workflow of generating highly customized terrain using World Creator and combining with smart landscape material in UE5.
For those who are curious my inspiration for this environment came from playing through the "Crimson Mirelands" area of Pokemon: Arceus. I wanted to see if I could make a more realistic re-imagining of the similar environment.
